Description

This is the pic of the big window on the front of Keleti trainstation in Budapest taken from the inside. Architecture and design is cool and the man who was cleaning it made this moment somehow unique.

I've used Picasa2 efects to make the whole image brighter and sunlight glow just a little bit stronger.

This is a great monument and a good capture with the ‘cleaner’ adding some human interest to it.
I like the burn-out on the light coming through the windows… it’s very effective and very atmospheric.

Losing the top of the arch in the shot is a bit of a shame… (always check the edges of your view finder and err on the generous – a little too much can always be cropped later).
You could also crop up a little from the bottom, to remove the second layer of supports that are just showing – I feel they look a bit cluttered, and you still keep the feeling of height with the brickwork above.
And also maybe crop a little from the left so that the window is on the edge of the crop the same as you have on the other side, that helps tighten the composition and keeps focus on the window.

As always, just my ‘tinkering’suggestions.

Thanks for positive remark and constructive feedback, I really, really appreciate it, as I'm almost complete fresh in the topic photography.

I took this photo almost year ago. I didn't pay so much attention for setting the proper point of view, then. But I promised myself to visit Budapest once again, someday and make more and better photos :) and BTW - I strongly recommend visiting this city, it's extremely beatiful, especially at night. Views from the Gellert Hill are simply astonishing.

In this sort of situation, you should try using HDR if you have the capability and you brought a tripod! Look into it! I also agree with Phill about your crop. Keep shooting! :)

Nice lighting.....but a little overexposed...I would include the whole arch at the top and crop a little from the bottom.

Yeah i know this window! I was at Keleti year ago! Agree what people above said.. i like the some kind of HDR light effect - add some frame, better croping and it will be great! ;)

Overexposed and lacks contrast. And you lost the arch. And I don't like the composition. Sorry, but this one just doesn't suit me.

10x once again for the fedback.

s8n - isn't Keleti looking damn good? especially the upper part. And the Budapest as a whole, I love it. I spend there wonderful days, and it was one of the reasons why I decided to upload this particular picture.

I also agree with all the comments about the crop :) Yeah, I screwed the shot, I didn't capture fragment above the window at all, and took too much at the bottom. I already cut some fragments of it and of the left side from the original.

Original one was too dark, in my opinion. As I wrote, I made it brighter and also add a little bit glow effect, but really not much, with Picasa2.

Not bad, slightly over exposed and it would be nice to see the top of the window in place. Keep it going.
